Following the easing of the border restrictions, the PONT team visited some of its beneficiaries in North Macedonia. The trip started with a fruitful meeting with the Mayor of Vevchani Municipality. The journey continued to the new and bright offices of the Association of sports “Sport for all – All for sport” Ohrid. This new office with three rooms gives space for the ever-growing work around the Ohrid Ultra Trail and others sports events happening in and around Ohrid for young and old. The Ohrid Ultra Trail event has been postponed from May to September 2021. Despite the COVID_19 pandemic already a record of registrations came in and we are looking forward to the event!
Together with the Director of the Public Institution Galicica National Park, Aleksandar Miljovski, the PONT team visited St. Naum and the places where newly build entrance ticket selling boots are being installed. The day ended on the Prespa side of the Galicica National Park where the park team is currently working actively on forest habitat management by removing alien species.
