Oliver Avramoski

Grants Coordinator

Oliver has joined PONT as Grants Coordinator in May 2018. He has more than 15 years of experience in biodiversity conservation, including conservation research, elaboration of national and regional conservation programmes and strategies, development and implementation of protected area management plans and species conservation action plans, as well as designing and implementing capacity development programmes for protected area governance and management.

Having a versatile professional career involving posts at academia, governmental and civil society organizations, Oliver brings practical know-how and theoretical insights from environmental sciences, conservation biology, ecology, human geography, sociology, and political sciences. Before joining PONT he spent 3 years with the IUCN Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, as Conservation Programme Coordinator, and 7 years with Galicica National Park before that, as Head of the Nature Conservation Department.
