The PONT Board of Directors is pleased to announce David Morrison as Interim Executive Director of PONT. With David’s in-depth knowledge of conservation trust fund management, we are confident he will provide strong leadership during PONT’s start-up phase.
David’s has over eight years of leadership, development and management experience in the conservation trust fund community from his role as founding Executive Director of the Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF). His innovations in developing CNF’s capital have contributed to the broader development of conservation finance and make him one of Europe’s leading conservation trust fund experts.
Prior to joining CNF, David worked for 28 years at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where he served as Managing Partner of the firm’s Continental European offices. His practice focused on advising public companies in a transactional context, from capital raisings and IPOs to mergers and acquisitions. One of his key clients was Germany’s development bank, Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW). He also served on the Board of Directors of KfW’s finance subsidiary for 20 years. Mr Morrison is the author of several publications on securities law-related topics, and has been recognised as a leading lawyer in Germany and France.
David will partner with the PONT Board of Directors on organizational planning and the Executive Director search. He will oversee staff operations and facilitate the creation of PONT’s programme office in Albania.
