With the additional donations received in the summer of 2022 we managed to hire consultants to identify and describe the Connectivity Conservation Area in North-Western Greece and to conduct a public consultation process. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are eligible to receive grants to support the work in the ecological corridors between the transboundary conservation areas in the PONT Focus Region.
This Call is open to eligible local and national NGOs active in North-Western Greece with a strategy in conservation, developing society, improving communities, and promoting citizen participation in conservation. This Call aims at co-financing conservation actions enhancing conservation connectivity along the ecological corridors connecting protected areas in the PONT Focus Region.
The thematic scope of this Call is defined by the following theme:
- Connectivity Conservation in the PONT Focus Region in Greece
The geographical scope of this call is limited to:
- The Pindos-Prespes Connectivity Conservation Area within the PONT Focus Region
Eligible Countries: Greece
Opening Date: Monday 20 February 2023
Closing Date: Friday 17 March 2023, 14:00 CET
The timeframe for implementation of the grant must be between 18 and 24 months, with 15 June 2023 being the earliest starting date.
Budget: The total budget of each grant may be from €50.000 up to a maximum of €150.000. A minimum of 25% of co-financing/matching funds from non-PONT sources by the applicant and/or its implementing partners is required.
